My grandfather, Arthur Lohrius, was a great man. He worked hard, he gave opportunities to the less fortunate, he had an affinity for shoes, and he cut his own lawn. He loved many things, including horses. One of his dreams was to have a farm where he could take care of these beautiful animals. He achieved this dream in the late 1960's and built a stable where he raised race horses. He named this place Dimonel Stables. I named my company after these stables for a few reasons... I loved my grandfather, I love horses, the word isn't in the dictionary and has no relevance to blueprinting, and I aim to be different.
What we do
We try to be the best we can be, day in and day out. We use our innate talents to produce. We succeed.
Why
Dimonel
is owned and operated by me, Brenden Wyant, a 4th generation
blueprinter. My great grandfather Charlie Lohrius, started Atlantic
Blueprint in 1924. Growing up inside of a very large family, all
involved in this industry, made it difficult to feel at home anywhere
else. You might think that I had seen enough nasty paper cuts and
inhaled way too much ammonia to know better, but like a moth to a
flame... here I am. In my defense, I did have a good decade as a
professional drummer, thanks to my uncle James Lohrius, who was the
motivational force behind me to follow my dreams. Working in music,
among so many different types of people and cultures, was a great
learning experience. It gave me the ability to be open and to listen. As
a business owner, I apply these lessons. Listening and being open to my
customers has been an integral part of the growth of my company. I
think everyone has a place that they wish they could be. Luckily for me,
it's here, close to my family and close to my family's history.
